Membership
Joining a club is essential once a skater is ready to take official US Figure Skating Tests or compete in competitions. Our club offers weekly club ice sessions, an annual test session and competition with judges so skaters can advance, two ice shows, fundraising activities, social events, and an annual awards banquet. The officers and board members of the McCall Figure Skating Club are committed to making this club the best it can be for all our children. Skating with MFSC is a great place for kids to engage in physical activity in a safe and positive environment; not to mention its being the perfect place to fight the winter blues and cool off from summer's heat.
Parent participation is a MUST for our club to be successful. The most important thing you can do as the parent of a figure skater is to inform yourself on the “nuts and bolts” of the MFSC and US Figure Skating rules, as well as to support your skater on and off the ice. MFSC officers, Board of Directors, Committee Members, and coaches are all here to guide you along the way and make this an amazing journey for your family.
We're currently accepting new members for the 2024-2025 membership season. which starts July 1. Whether you want to join MFSC as your home club or as an associate club member, we'd love to have you!
MFSC Mission Statement
The McCall Figure Skating Club provides a standardized guideline of ethics, standards and conduct to ensure the quality, integrity and moral environment of US Figure Skating, its member clubs and programs via the SkateSafe® Policies and Codes of Conduct. McCall FSC is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for members’ physical, emotional and social development and to promoting an environment free of misconduct. To further this goal, the Club requests the cooperation and agreement from all members, coaches, skaters, officials and parents, even if they are not Club members themselves.
Skate Safe
U.S. Figure Skating strives to provide a safe environment for its members that is free of misconduct and harassment. The U.S. Figure Skating SkateSafe® (Previously SafeSport) Program provides resources for all members to help identify abuse and misconduct, steps that can be taken to reduce it, and procedures to respond to misconduct. The association will not tolerate or condone any form of harassment or misconduct of any of its members including athletes, coaches, officials, directors, employees, parents, volunteers or any other persons while they are participating in or preparing for a figure skating activity or event.

The McCall Figure Skating Club provides amazing opportunities to all members, but each event requires work. Each MFSC member agrees perform 15 volunteer hours per child per membership year (25 hours per family). Events needing volunteers include:
July >> Fireworks Booth
October >> Competition
December >> Holiday Show
February >> Winter Carnival Ice Show
Don’t panic, volunteer hours are easier to get than you think. All unfulfilled hours will be charged $20/hour. -
From October 2024-March 2025, all club members will pay ice fees under the “Contract Ice” tab in Entry Eeze so we can reserve after-school ice during hockey season, and reduce our overall ice costs. The season may be divided into September & December payments, if desired. Only club members may skate on this after-school “club ice” during those winter months.
Payments include ALL ICE COSTS for rink ice time, so our skaters can skate on every session (including mornings and public ice times) without being assessed a fee.
After hockey season, skaters may purchase monthly passes at $135/month for April, May, June, July, August, and September from the rink.
Skaters who prefer to pay an hourly rate may purchase a Figure Skating punch card (10 punches) from the rink for $150 plus tax – one punch ($15) will cover each hour of ice time a skater uses (not the whole morning). Punch cards may not be used on after-school “club ice” from October-March. -
Fundraising is an important part of any club. The MFSC has several fundraising events every year. Our two biggest events are the Skate by the Lake Competition and the fireworks booth (for five days, including July 4th).
We are always looking for additional ways to increase the operating budget of MFSC. Our main goals are raising money to decrease the cost of club ice and hosting fun family events for our members on and off the ice.
We cannot do this without the help of our MFSC families. Please volunteer when possible!! If you have any questions or would like to share your fundraising ideas, contact Brie Bates by clicking HERE.
